2025 Chalk Lines and Vines Artist Application

Thank you for your interest in joining us as a featured artist at Chalk Lines and Vines. If you have any questions about the event, please reach out to Jessica Hites at JHites@arapahoegov.com.

What we’re looking for:

Artists that specialize in chalk art- Teams of two welcome!
Submit images of (2) past chalk work for review- new artists only
Create (1) completed mural on Saturday or Sunday or BOTH!

If selected, featured artists will receive:

$100 Stipend for one day, $200 Stipend for both days
10’x10’ booth to sell and/or display your masterpieces (not required)
Access to Artist Lounge; complimentary snacks and beverages
Two complimentary tickets to Chalk Lines & Vines (per artist or team)
Exposure to 1K+ people throughout the weekend!
T-shirt with a fun design! Please add your shirt size below.

Other Details:

This event will be hosted indoors in 2025.
The Event Center will be providing roof overlay to chalk on.
- Each artist will get a new piece of roofing overlay per day for two day artists.
Artists must start and complete their selected piece each day during the outlined times below:
- Saturday, May 3 - Festival times are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. All pieces need to be completed before 3:30 p.m.
- Sunday, May 4- Festival times are 11 a.m.-4 p.m. All pieces need to be completed before 2:30 p.m.
Size Requirements for Chalk Pieces:
- Maximum 9' x 9'
- Minimum 6' x 6'
All artist helpers and active chalk artists need to be 21+.

Fan Favorite Pieces!

Each attendee will get a chance to vote on their favorite artwork each day at Chalk Lines and Vines. Votes will be calculated in the final hour of the event and the winner will be announced shortly after.
Our fan favorite each day will be presented with a $100 prize and winner's ribbon!

Do's and Don'ts

We are so excited to work with you! And watch as your murals come to life. Just a couple reminders as you are preparing your masterpieces:

Please refrain from including any of the following in your mural
- Paraphernalia (keep it G-rated)
- Depictions of violence
- Politics
Murals should be original pieces
Artists must be actively working on their piece throughout the festival. The fun for our guests is to watch "art in action"!
Saturday, May 3- Festival times are 11am-5pm. All pieces need to be completed before 3:30pm.
Sunday, May 4- Festival times are 11am-4pm. All pieces need to be completed before 2:30pm.
Sign ups & final artwork should be submitted to jhites@arapahoegov.com no later than April 4, 2025.
